World of Warcraft Item Upgrades
Upgrades to items give players the ability to upgrade their equipment that they already have. This can be done at any item upgrader NPC.
Generally, upgrades boost an item's main stat and give it extras depending on the item type. Examples include Whistan's shield for FB sorcs or Goldwrap for casting builds.
Armour
Armour is one of the most important factors that keep Link protected from damage in the majority of situations. While it can't be upgraded like weapons, it can be improved in various ways to enhance its defense capabilities.
Armour is designed to shield animals or people from injury or harm, whether it's from a direct physical attack or a range of hazards posed by the environment or activities. In the past, most armour was made of fabric or leather, but metal protections were also used, especially for military applications like heavy cavalry or combat drones.
As with weapons there are a myriad of ways in which armor can be upgraded but most will require visiting one of the four Great Fairy Fountains located throughout Hyrule. Each fountain has a distinct degree of improvement with higher levels of protection that require more rupees and other materials.
The first thing to remember about Armor Upgrades is that they are upgrades that last forever, meaning that after they've been put in place, they can't be replaced unless there is another piece of equipment that has the same upgrade. It is essential to only apply the highest grade of upgrades to your equipment and that you have the required materials to complete the upgrade.
In item upgrades of acquiring the upgrade components needed, you'll find them in various locations around Hyrule including merchants, shrines as well as enemies. They're usually identified by a blue triangle or a gold circle and are found in huge quantities as you progress through. Although they can appear randomly, there is an opportunity that acquiring certain upgrade components will trigger an adventure that rewards players with more.
It's important to note that, even though the level provided by each upgrade may differ however, it will always be more than zero. This is because a complete set of upgraded armour will give you a significant defense boost that protects you from all kinds of attacks except magic and makes it a formidable tool for any type of.
Weapons
You can upgrade your guns by using special upgrades that make them unique. These upgrades can increase the damage or alter the stats of the weapon to suit your specific build. They can also unlock new attachments like unique enchantments, different types of ammunition, as well as aesthetic options.
You'll need both the upgrade component and the weapon itself to upgrade it. The weapon should be at least a certain level before you can upgrade it. Most weapons only accept a single upgrade.
Weapon upgrade components can be found all over the world from the enemy or from merchants. Upgrade components are a mix of ingredients that you are able to incorporate into armors, weapons trinkets, gathering tools and trinkets to earn an attribute bonus. The equipment has to be of a certain level before it can accept the upgrade. It can be upgraded the same way as other items.
Upgrades are a mix of Smithing Stones (a type of stone) and Runes. They are used to enhance the stats of weapons and enhance their ability to scale with other stats. These upgrades are available from enemies in the open world or from merchants. They are also dropped through combat.
Two NPCs can upgrade your weapon: the Blacksmith Hewg, in the Roundtable Hold hub zone and the Smithing Master Iji, in the Road to Manor hub zone. Both of these NPCs accept your Smithing Stones or Runes to upgrade your weapon.
It's essential to prioritise upgrading your top-of-the-line items first, followed by items that you won't need to replace in the near future. If you're planning to play in a melee-based build, for instance upgrade your weapon first, then your shoulders and chest, then your feet and hands. The same principle applies to Magic and Utility Items. But, depending on your style of play, certain procs will be more beneficial than others. The same goes for Armour Reforges, with certain types being better than others.
Magic Items
A character can upgrade only one item of magic at a time. If an upgrade project is canceled then any subsequent upgrades for the item will not start. Upgraded magic items cost twice the amount of gold to create or purchase, but can provide additional benefits.
A magical item is any item that has some special properties or effects. These are usually weapons, but they could also be armors, shields and cloaks, as well as potions. They could also be rings, scrolls, or other items. Certain of these items can be made sentient.
The majority of magic items can be upgraded to become equipped with additional capabilities. This makes them more useful for a player, or it can aid them in overcoming an especially difficult challenge. A weapon that contains a special substance might be able to provide extra damage against a certain type of enemy. This is particularly beneficial for characters who have reached a level where they will likely face the same type of monster in dungeons repeatedly.

A ring that is infused can grant the ability to resist piercing, bludgeoning or slashing injuries from nonmagical attacks (not even silvered ones) until the next time the character is taking a long rest. This is particularly beneficial for melee fighters or any other character who would like to save the cost and hassle of purchasing shields.
Some enchanted objects have special powers which allow the character to cast spells that aren't on their class list. This is useful for characters who have difficulty keeping their spell slots full because of multiclassing. These enchanted objects require an Intelligence check (Arcana) and the spell is determined by rolling a table based upon the amount of Intelligence point expended.
Other items that are enchanted can allow the player to change their appearance, or even create a completely new one. These can be particularly useful for those who have to leave their homes, or who are in a location where they might not be welcome. A magical item may grant them invisibility or make them invisible for everyone, except for the chosen person.
Utility Items
Utility items are those that don't fall into the categories of Clothing, Armor or Weapons, and provide a range of different capabilities. Utility items aren't compatible with each other, unlike Armor or Weapons. Most utility items have a passive effect which players can activate by using them. Some have additional abilities that are activated by pressing a button or triggering a skill.
Generally, the most common type of utility item is the Flashlight that illuminates the surrounding area. Other items of utility include the Helicopter Hat and Rocket Boots, which allow the player to be floating in the air while moving, and the Jetpack that allows players to accelerate in any direction while on the ground. In the Engineering section, you can create instantly a variety of useful items, while others are available only through Research projects or experimental projects on the Proving Ground.
Players can unlock more powerful utility items in addition to those that are available in their normal inventory by purchasing them at the Atomic Shop or from seasonal Scoreboard rewards. Some of these items can be upgraded for more effective use.
The majority of utility items give players an advantage in navigation or boost the ability to fight. Sharpening stones, crafted by the Weaponsmith can boost power and Ferocity. Maintenance Oils, created by a Huntsman can increase concentration and healing power. Other useful items, such as Writs and Theses made by the Scribe, can be used to give players an increase in Damage or Condition Damage.
XCOM soldiers can equip one utilitarian item to begin the campaign. A second slot is available once you have completed certain engineering, research, or experimental projects on the Proving Ground. During the Alien Hunters downloadable content, additional slots are available by equipping a Grenade Launcher. This permits the player to utilize an Smoke Grenade or Bomb while an offensive grenade remains in the main slot.
